What is Ethical Investing?

Ethical Investing (aka Socially Responsible Investing) is a new investment trend where a company’s impact on society is measured along with its business outlook. Some companies choose to forego short-term profits in favor of pursuing positive morals. Ethical investors believe such companies make better long-term investments.

Magnifina will work to construct your portfolio according to your individual values, if you ask us to. Analyzing an investment’s ethical considerations is part of our research process, and we also receive relevant reports from an independent research organization.

Please note that ethical portfolios may financially underperform unrestricted portfolios. But many investors choose to look at more than just money when evaluating performance.

“It’s far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price.”

Clean and Green Businesses

Long-term investors understand that many of today’s businesses are not sustainable.

Avoiding Human Vices

Tobacco, Alcohol, and Gambling may cause destructive addictions. We can exclude these businesses from your portfolio.

Smaller Businesses

Large, greedy corporations use their power to stifle competition. We think it’s time for a new generation of businesses to challenge the status-quo.

Your Investments, Your Ethics

These are simply some of the many examples of how we can tailor your portfolio to your ethics.
