More than the sum of its parts

Investment management and financial planning are valuable on their own. But they work better together.

Your portfolio decisions affect your tax situation, your retirement timeline, and your ability to fund major goals. Your financial plan shapes how much risk you can afford, when to draw down assets, and which accounts to prioritize. When these services operate independently, opportunities fall through the cracks.

Wealth management closes that gap. One advisory relationship. One coordinated strategy. A clearer path forward.

How we do wealth management

We start by understanding your complete financial picture: income, assets, debts, goals, timeline, and risk tolerance. From there, we build and manage a portfolio designed for your situation while maintaining a comprehensive financial plan that evolves with your life.

Your investments inform your plan. Your plan guides your investments. We handle both, so nothing gets lost in translation.

Why clients choose us for wealth management

Fiduciary accountability

As a fee-only fiduciary, we are legally required to put act in your best interest. This standard guides every recommendation we make and ensures our advice is always centered on what’s best for you.

Transparent, fee-only pricing

We operate on a fee-only basis, which means we don’t earn commissions or receive compensation from third parties. This structure keeps our incentives simple and aligned with your success.

Comprehensive financial planning

We look at the full picture, coordinating your investments, retirement goals, estate considerations, and insurance needs into a single, cohesive strategy. When all the pieces work together, you get a clearer path forward.

Proactive tax planning

We monitor your situation throughout the year to identify opportunities that could reduce your tax burden. Our goal is to help you keep more of what you earn, not just at tax time but over the long term.

Disciplined investment management

Our portfolios are grounded in research and built with a long-term perspective. We focus on managing risk thoughtfully while positioning your assets for sustainable growth across market cycles.

Reduced index concentration risk

Popular index funds can become heavily weighted toward just a few large companies. We construct portfolios that avoid this concentration, giving you broader diversification and reducing your exposure to any single stock, sector, or style.

Ethical investing options

We believe values-based investing should reflect what matters to you personally. You can choose to invest only in companies whose practices and activities align with your principles, giving you a portfolio that feels right.

A partner for the long haul

Life brings changes, some expected and some not. We’re here to provide steady guidance through every transition, helping you adapt your plan as your circumstances and goals evolve over time.

Wealth management FAQ

Wealth management fits clients who want their investments and financial planning handled together rather than separately. It’s a good match if you have meaningful assets to invest and enough complexity in your financial life that a comprehensive plan adds real value. That might mean multiple income sources, equity compensation, retirement on the horizon, or simply a preference for having one advisor who sees the whole picture.

Investment management focuses on building and maintaining your portfolio: selecting investments, rebalancing, harvesting tax losses, and monitoring performance. Wealth management adds comprehensive financial planning on top of that. Retirement planning, tax strategies, insurance needs, and estate considerations all get coordinated with how we manage your investments. The result is one unified strategy rather than two separate services.

Most client assets are held at Charles Schwab, one of the largest and most established custodians in the industry. You’ll have direct login access to view your accounts, balances, and transactions anytime. You can also make trades or transfer funds through Schwab’s website or app whenever you choose. We never take full custody of client funds. Schwab holds them, and we manage them on your behalf with your authorization.

We maintain relationships with trusted professionals in estate law, tax preparation, insurance, and lending. When your situation calls for specialized expertise, we can connect you with the right person. We also coordinate with them so everyone is working from the same information. Think of it as access to an extended team without having to find and vet each specialist yourself.

Yes. You don’t need to liquidate your existing positions to become a client. We can incorporate current holdings into your portfolio, help you transition gradually if selling all at once would trigger unnecessary taxes, or build a strategy around assets you prefer to manage separately. We’ll review what you have and recommend an approach that makes sense for your situation.

Our offices are in New York City and Westchester County, but we work with clients across the country. Meetings can happen in person or over video, and documents are shared through secure portals. The experience is the same whether you’re local or remote.
